 11:00 a.m.- 1:00p.m.

Antojitos are literally a snack that satisfies a craving. With the Summer season upon us this special workshop will teach you new ways to entertain your friends and family with fun “little desires”. Learn to satisfy your craving for Mexican savory treats with featured chef Deborah Schneider, author of “Love and Tacos”.    There will be a book signing immediately following. (Book available for purchase in museum gift shop.)

Saturday, July 10, 2010:  Huachinango A La Veracruzana

11 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Huachinango a la veracruzana (red snapper vera cruz) is a wonderful dish from Vera Cruz, Mexico. Treat your friends and loved ones to a plateful. !  Join the creative and artful Consuelo Campos as she walks you step by step in creating this delicious dish!

The  first Saturday of each month Las Abejitas will create artworks based on pieces in the gallery. The Abejitas Art Club is a dynamic, bilingual workshop specifically created for children 3-6 years of age.

Art Project:              “The Music of the Rainforest” – Rain Stick Workshop

 Parents and children explore art-making. Utilizing the five senses and learning to create art projects with the use of non-toxic materials. A new, creative “recipe” is distributed each month!
